Amaravati: Political temperatures in Andhra Pradesh have risen again as CPI national secretary K. Narayana alleged that the decision to arrest YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy rests solely with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Recalling the controversial 2019 murder of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, Narayana said everyone is aware of how Jagan initially spoke about the case and later changed his stance. He further pointed out that Jagan remains the only individual in the country to be out on bail for over 11 years while facing multiple criminal cases — a situation he claims is possible only because of the “political shield” provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
Narayana also noted that Viveka’s daughter, Y.S. Sunitha, believes she has no protection because the accused in the murder case are influential and powerful. Extending support, Narayana declared that the CPI would stand firmly by Sunitha in her fight for justice.
