Khammam, Telangana – April 30, 2025:
BJP Telangana Secretary Kolli Madhavi launched a scathing attack on the Congress government during her visit to Khammam on Tuesday, accusing it of neglecting the region despite having three ministers from the district in the state cabinet.
Addressing media personnel and party workers, Madhavi expressed condolences over recent tragic incidents, including the death of BJP worker Sai Ganesh, stating, “The BJP stands in solidarity with the families of the victims. We pray for their strength and courage.”
Criticizing the Congress government’s performance, she questioned the lack of tangible development in Khammam. “If three ministers from this district sit in the cabinet, what have they achieved for the people here? There have been no new projects or significant funds allocated,” she said.
Madhavi accused the state leadership of engaging in blame games rather than governance. “They blame the Centre, but what have they themselves delivered through this year’s Union Budget? Their promises remain only on paper,” she remarked.
She also took aim at various welfare schemes, including the free bus service for women. “Where are the buses? No new vehicles have been deployed, and many existing ones are non-operational. It’s all show and no substance,” she alleged.
Highlighting issues faced by farmers, she pointed to unfulfilled assurances such as loan waivers and input subsidies. “Only 60% of the promised loan waiver has been implemented. Crops have been destroyed by unseasonal rains, but there has been no compensation or official response,” Madhavi noted.
She further alleged that schemes like Dalit Bandhu have been limited in execution. “They promised ₹10 lakh per Dalit family, but not even 10% have received it in Khammam,” she claimed.
Raising concerns about law and order, Madhavi cited increasing cases of harassment in government-run hostels and incidents of food poisoning in educational institutions. “The safety of women and children is being compromised, and the government remains silent,” she said.
Taking a dig at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, she said, “This Congress government is nothing but a continuation of KCR’s misgovernance. Diversion tactics, false promises, and inaction define their rule.”
She also criticized Congress for allegedly lacking strong candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, accusing the party of fielding “dummy candidates” in several constituencies.
“Even when not in power, the BJP stands with the people. Wherever Prime Minister Modi’s leadership has reached, development has followed,” Madhavi said, while also accusing Congress leaders of undermining national security by questioning military actions like surgical strikes.
She concluded by urging the people of Telangana to “see through the lies” of the Congress and support the BJP’s vision for transparent and development-driven governance.
