Congress and BRS Leaders Unite at DMK Event, Sparking Controversy
Chennai, Tamil Nadu

A recent meeting organized by the DMK party in Tamil Nadu has ignited a political firestorm, with allegations of a “secret friendship” between Congress and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders from Telangana. Critics argue the event reveals a clandestine alliance aimed at undermining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of impending delimitation discussions.
Sources claim the gathering was more than just a friendly meet-and-greet, accusing the parties of conspiring to exploit linguistic and regional differences for political gain. Accusations have been leveled that this is a calculated move to distract from alleged corruption, including the ongoing liquor scam investigations.
“They are conspiring to provoke linguistic… regional differences between the people in order to suck people’s money and prevent it from coming out in many issues like the liquor scam,” alleged sources familiar with the situation.
Adding fuel to the fire, the DMK’s controversial stance on Hinduism has drawn sharp criticism. The presence of Congress and BRS leaders at the event has been interpreted as a tacit endorsement of the DMK’s views, leading to accusations of anti-Hindu sentiment. “If we see the BRS Congress joining hands with the DMK, which constantly makes statements against Hindus that it will permanently eradicate Sanatana Dharma, it becomes clear what their policy is towards Hindus,” critics stated.
The timing of the meeting, coinciding with the Central Government’s impending delimitation guidelines, has also raised eyebrows. While opponents acknowledge the right to express objections democratically, they condemn the meeting as a clandestine effort to damage the BJP politically. They claim it’s a desperate attempt to divert attention from alleged corrupt practices.
“Like pumpkin thieves, they have organized these meaningless meetings as part of a conspiracy to politically damage the BJP in order to cover up their corrupt dealings and this time they have exposed the secret love they have shown for each other for so many years,” a source declared.
The controversy erupts as Prime Minister Narendra Modi pushes forward with his vision for a developed India. Detractors argue that parties like Congress, BRS, and DMK, driven by hidden agendas, are actively working to sow division among the people along linguistic and regional lines.
The unfolding situation is being closely watched by the public in Telangana, who are reportedly becoming increasingly aware of these alleged political machinations. The long-term impact of this apparent alliance remains to be seen, but it has undoubtedly injected a new level of complexity into the political landscape.
